About Me
Ella is a new media artist based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their practice is heavily influenced by interdisciplinary research in technoculture studies. Currently, they are researching applications of interactivity and extended reality as means to examine socio-cultural and interpersonal phenomena, particularly those related to surveillance systems and gender expression. They work in mediums ranging from risograph animations to augmented reality environments. As an educator and researcher, they work to advance technological equity in their community, both in the college classroom and throughout the Albuquerque area.
Ella is a first year MFA student in Experimental Art and Technology at the University of New Mexico. They are a project assistant at UNM ARTSLab, working on the “Artemis in 3D STEAM Challenge and Training Program”.
